17A Elevator Pitch 2

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WubC0g-VPuI&feature=youtu.be

Above is the link for my elevator pitch number 2.

What I changed or tried to improve based upon my feedback was to be more animated and show a little more emotion.  Its not a nice topic so you cant really smile or be happy and I don't really want to freak anybody out and scare them so it has to be a little contained.

18A Customer Avatar

http://blog.teamsnap.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/soccer_mom-1.jpg
I don’t feel like an avatar is appropriate for my service. If this was a frisbee I could easily narrow my market down to a couple of different types of people. This service is broad and more common sense and urgent than a family pass time. If you asked everyone to leave the room hat didn’t want to stop violence in schools, it would be miniscule.

If I had to create an avatar, I would probably choose the following:

A working woman between age 30 and 40 years old.

She would be a soccer mom driving an SUV like a Cadillac escalade ext. or a Chevy Tahoe.

She would be juggling managing a family, raising her children and working a job.

She would work at a small office and would be an important piece of their administration.

She wouldn’t have a lot of hobbies other than exercise because she spends most of her time with her kid’s hobbies such as sports and school.

When she gets to watch her own programs, she would watch normal shows like soap operas and comedies like the big bang theory and modern family.

They vote for politicians that they believe will protect their children and enable them to work hard and prosper.

What I have in common with the avatar is minimal except for the children part however the avatar would be very similar to my wife.

I think that we most identify with what we know well. It would be harder for me to identify problems with the attire of federal judges considering I have never worn a black robe.

16A My Secret Sauce

What’s Your secret sauce?

5 ways that I believe I am unique

I ultimately don’t believe that I am different than everybody else. I believe I have some traits and behaviors that I can capitalize on to accomplish the goals that I set for myself.

My experiences that make me would be all the experiences I have had in my life both good and bad. Three that I think are most important are first my military background. I was raised in a military family and lived in many places, so I formed a love and interest in America. I think understanding how unique America is allows you to enjoy the opportunities available to her people.

Second at a young age I had a girlfriend with wealthy parents and I enjoyed spending time with them and saw all the wonderful things they were able to do as a family, so I always had the drive to work hard and be financially stable.

The third would be My family. I was raised in a family with good values where family and faith are important. My parents are good people and they always did their best to teach us how to be good adults.

My five traits that I feel sets me apart from others.

I am disciplined. I have a high level of discipline to set routines or objectives for myself and to stay committed to them.

I am driven. I am always setting new goals and always pushing myself to meet them

I am a good person. I always want to help people and animals.

I am analytic. I am a rational thinker that can properly evaluate and analyze issues.

I am detailed. I want everything done to a high standard and everything needs to be done.

In my interviews I asked to focus on two things that make me who I am (because I didn’t think traits are unique to one person.)

My first interview was that I am smart, and I am a type A. He said I am smart because of what I do and how knowledgeable I am about things and I am a type A because of how I live my life day to day.

My second interview was that I am conscious, and I have a good Heart. She said I am conscious because I want everything a particular way and I have a good heart because of what I do with charity and animals.

My third interview was that I am intelligent, and I am motivated. She said that I am knowledgeable, and I am always working or doing a project or a task.

My fourth interview was that I was a little OCD and I am competitive. He said I am a little OCD because I like everything clean and orderly and I am competitive in everything I do because I want it better than everybody else’s.

My fifth interview was that I am young at heart and intellectual. She said I am young at heart because I like doing things that younger people do and things that younger people are interested in and that I am intellectual because I am up on business and politics.

I don’t think there was a lot of differences between my own assessment and my interviews. The only thing I would say is that after so many years I recognize flaws in my own traits that I try to work on constantly and I constantly reevaluate my progress and goals. I didn’t get any of those flaws in my evaluations which I was pleased with, but I didn’t think anybody would say anything negative anyway.

15A Buyer Behavior 2

Buyer Behavior Number 2

In my alternatives my customer evaluations were a little different because my offering is a rare service and it is designed for each specific location based upon analysis. There were alternatives such as how it could be purchased up front or over timer but that would be decided by the customer not by the provider. One of the alternatives was a cookie cutter proposal of equipment and training for a location rather than a design for each location however the priority is effectiveness not convenience or appearance, so it is an area that I would not be willing to compromise. The interviewees confirmed that effectiveness is the absolute priority.

My evaluation is unique because I am offering a service not a product. The service will not be purchased in a store or on line. The organization will have an office and evaluations will be performed on site and meetings can be held anywhere. The post purchase evaluation consensus is that the evaluation of the success of the purchase is whether it saves lives or keeps children safe. If there are no events or events are controlled the purchase would be considered a success.

My interviews are included in my summary above. Because my service is unique and requires some cooperation with government or larger organizations it has less entrants into the marketplace. The potential customers are not direct because it is up to a middle player to choose the service and ultimately make the beneficiary pay for the benefits and service.

For me to properly conduct the interviews, rather than interviewing the beneficiaries of the service and the persons ultimately paying for the service, I should be interviewing the middle man or the decision maker which are the schools.

14A Halfway Reflection

The behaviors that I have used to keep up with the requirements of this course have been proactivity organization and discipline. I had blocked off time during my week. I blocked off 12 hours during the week for me to do work knowing that I should not need that much time for the course. It allows me enough time to go in to the assignments before they are due. I am disciplined enough not to wait until the due date to complete the assignments.

The only time I felt like giving up was on an assignment that I had to complete on a day that I was swamped and had very little time. The assignment was the first video. I knew I had completed the extra credit assignment and could afford to let the assignment pass and not complete it. It made me feel like a slacker the thought of intentionally not completing the assignment. I cancelled a couple of things from my schedule and went in to my office to record the pitch. Things went extremely smooth and I was done in less than an hour and was able to keep my commitments.

Three tips I would offer are.

Do The work! Don’t slack off and just write garbage. The class will benefit you if you take it seriously.

Be organized. Read the instructions and follow them and schedule time well before the due date to work on the assignment.

Watch the lectures. They are interesting and contribute details you should use to complete the assignments properly.
